Last updated: April 2, 2026

Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Sonar, a product of 0arch, accessible at sonar.0arch.io. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Sonar.

The service

Sonar is a web application that aggregates and scores publicly available posts from Reddit and Hacker News where people describe tools, apps, or services they wish existed. Sonar provides search, filtering, saving, and export functionality for these demand signals.

Accounts

  • You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  • You must provide a valid email address and a password of at least 8 characters.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
  • One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits is prohibited.

Plans and pricing

Sonar offers two plans:

  • Free: 10 signals per day, basic filters, up to 25 saved signals. No payment required. Available indefinitely.
  • Pro ($19/month): Unlimited signals, all filters, unlimited saved signals, CSV export, and priority support. Billed monthly via Stripe.

We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice. Existing subscribers will be honored at their current rate until the end of their billing period.

Billing and payment

  • Pro subscriptions are billed monthly in advance via Stripe.
  • Your subscription renews automatically each month unless you cancel.
  • All payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information.
  • Prices are in US dollars and do not include applicable taxes, which may be added at checkout.

Cancellation and refunds

  • You can cancel your Pro subscription at any time.
  • Upon cancellation, you retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period.
  • After your billing period ends, your account reverts to the Free plan.
  • We offer a full refund within 7 days of your first payment if you are not satisfied. After 7 days, no refunds are provided for partial billing periods. To request a refund, email sonar@0arch.io.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to scrape or bulk-download signal data from Sonar.
  • Attempt to circumvent plan limits, rate limits, or authentication controls.
  • Resell, redistribute, or sublicense Sonar data to third parties without written permission.
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the service.
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the service.
  • Create multiple accounts to bypass plan restrictions.

Signal data

  • Signals displayed in Sonar are derived from publicly available posts on Reddit and Hacker News. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this data.
  • Signals are provided for informational purposes only. They are not business advice, market research, or investment recommendations. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on signal data.
  • We do not claim ownership of the original posts. Original content remains the property of its respective authors and is subject to the terms of its source platform.
  • Signal scores are algorithmically generated estimates of demand and should not be treated as definitive measures of market viability.

Intellectual property

The Sonar name, logo, interface design, scoring algorithms, and categorization systems are the intellectual property of 0arch. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Sonar interface or systems without written permission. Data exported via CSV may be used freely for your own purposes but may not be resold as a data product.

Availability and uptime

We strive to keep Sonar available 24/7 but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes that temporarily affect availability. We are not liable for any losses resulting from service downtime or interruptions.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 0arch and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of Sonar. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the service shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Disclaimer of warranties

Sonar is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free, secure, or uninterrupted.

Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account at any time for violation of these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately. If we terminate your paid account for reasons other than Terms violations, we will provide a pro-rated refund for the remainder of your billing period.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the service shall be resolved in the courts of Miami-Dade County, Florida.

Changes to these terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the site at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of Sonar after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
